Congratulations to the newly elected Board Members and Eleanor Templeman as the new Chairman of 2019-2020.

The Filipino Women’s Association Annual General Meeting was held on Saturday, 14th September 2019 at the Royal Garden Hotel, London.
The meeting was well attended by many of the existing members including entrepreneur Rowena Romulo of Romulo Café in South Kensington and Deputy Mayor Cynthia Barker of Hertsmere Borough Council. Jeannette Thomson presented her final Chairman’s report and Raquel Scrivens her final Treasurer’s report for the year 2018-2019.

Ms Eleanor Templeman, the newly elected Chairman, is an interpreter and a long standing member of the FWA-UK who is passionate about taking action against modern-slavery and human trafficking.

FWA-UK has a vision of a world where women, especially Filipino women living in the United Kingdom and in the Philippines enjoy equality, respect and opportunities for development in all aspects of life in the home and in the wider community.

FWA-UK would like to thank those who attended this historic meeting and they encourage members to be proactive and contribute towards the vision and mission of this prestigious Association.
