Ports Authority Commissioner Mike Acebedo Lopez and Cebu businessman Erik Lim visits London

Commissioner Mike Acebedo Lopez of the Philippine Ports Authority and Erik Lim, owner of Island Malls in Cebu City and Ozamiz City were recently in London. Though they were previously in London September 2018 during the fashion week, where Erik Lim was one of the models at the House of Ikons Fashion Show, they actually did not get much chance to enjoy their stay due to their hectic schedules. This time, their trip was planned ahead and both made sure that this time around they had real rest and recreation (R & R) and enjoyed what they missed during their last trip to London.
As they embarked on their holiday journey while in the UK, they met Cebuano Congressman Frasco of the 5th District of Cebu Province, wife Christina Frasco, who is the mayor of Liloan, Cebu and the couple’s two children.
Erik Lim, being a young entrepreneur, never missed a chance to meet British businessmen and government officials. He encouraged them to do businesses in Cebu City in particular and the Philippines in general.
Both gentlemen are so famous in their own right. After attending mass and coming out of Westminster Cathedral, they were recognized by few Filipinos who requested for photos taken with them which they willingly obliged.
Before their departure, they met and greeted Davawenyo-Uk officers who that time had their AGM meeting. Consul Nino Bautista and Consul Stacy Garcia both from Philippine Embassy-London also greeted the Davawenyo-UK group. Consul Nino Bautista explained to the Davawenyo-UK officers information about Philippine security while Consul Stacy Garcia, in brief, explained about cultural diplomacy.
Most significant on this trip for both gentlemen was being able to watch live at the Mall – Buckingham Palace the Trooping of Colours Parade where they saw almost all members of the Royal family.
To quote Commissioner Mike Acebedo Lopez on their way home, quote and unquote “There I thought nothing could top our last visit last year but, boy oh boy, was I wrong—this one was filled with so many milestones, adventures, and childhood dreams come true, I am still overwhelmed”.
Commissioner Mike Acebedo Lopez and Erik Lim see you again September 2019.
